Cardel UH1 Scratch resistant Gloss Plate

Cardels UH1 scratch resistant plate range has been developed to provide a plate hardness (resistance to scratching) rating that is on average three times that of standard plates used throughout the industry over the last 20 years.

The increased hardness of the steel used in the production of the plate translates into increased resistance to scratches and blemishes producing significantly higher yield of cards while lasting a minimum of three times longer than standard plates. The UH1 range is available in Gloss and Silk variants with a range of Hardness options.

Reduced scrap

Cardel scratch resistant plates are proven to significantly reduce scratching of the plates in regular usage. Scratched plates generate rejected cards and yield increase is therefore gained by the reduction of cards rejected every cycle of the laminator that are caused by the scratches on the lamination plates.

Through hardness

Cardel scratch resistant plates are available in surface hardened or Through Hardened versions. Through hardening prevents dents as well as scratches which fureht extends plate life especially when lamination RFID prelams.

Throughput Increase

Hardened plates are able to support a reduction in the thickness of the plate which will allow an increase in the quantity of the sheets in the cartridge without losing quality. It is typical for manufacturers to increase the quantity of plates per cassette from 11 to 13 when using thinner hardened plates which increases throughput without loss of quality.

Cardel Hardened plates are available in UB1, UG1, UG2, ISO, USDS and US finishes at 0.6mm or 0.8mm thickness and in many sizes.

Cardel high quality lamination plates are produced to demanding specifications and closely monitored in production to ensure consistency of surface quality whether they are gloss or silk.
