Ultrasilk DS – TH (Through-Hardened)

Cardel UG1-TH plates are 4x harder than our standard gloss plates at the surface level and throughput the plate thickness. The Ultragloss 1 – TH plate offers industry leading quality of finish, durability in regular usage and longevity of life to protect against scratches and dents in the plates which would otherwise be transferred to the card sheets.

The plates can be used for all card types including banking (Mastercard, Visa, Union Pay), security (Identity, Driving licence, Passport), commercial/loyalty, smart and contactless.

The through hardness of the plates is particularly beneficial for lamination of RFID cards and inlays to ensure that the plates do not get dented by the RFID modules contained in the Prelam.

The Plates have an ultra high gloss polished finish which has a hardness rating 4x greater than standard gloss plates. With such an increase over hardness, the plates can resist damage far more effectively thereby increasing yield and reducing wastage while having a much longer lifespan. Available in a range of thicknesses and with matt borders, the Ultragloss 1 TH plate is a high quality product with a long lasting and consistent finish.

Our lamination plates are produced from Stainless steel manufactured to suit the specifications needed for ISO approval. A wide range of checks are conducted during and after production to ensure each product meets the required criteria before being sent on for further processing.

A protective PVC coat is applied at the end of production with ‘light water-based tack’ adhesive, allowing simple removal without leaving residue behind. Finished plates are packed and shipped in robust wooden packing crates to ensure no damage in transportation.

Precision security lamination plates with / without positioning Pins can also be made with UG1-TH steel to customer specification.

When used with Cardel high performance C220+WS silicon press pads our customers can benefit from significant improvement in yield and output volumes by maximising the quantity of card sheets laminated per cycle and minimising the lamination cycle time.
