“We reached out to Cardel when we realised that our wastage rates from lamination were very high due to plates that were getting scratched in usage and they were being dented by the chips in our prelams when we were laminating RFID cards. We were also experiencing a lot of frosting on the laminated cards leading to a reject often higher than 10% and we had capacity issues with the Laminator being the bottleneck of our production.

A member of Cardel’s Technical team visited our site several times (free of charge) to review our processes and the issues we were experiencing. As a result of the visits, Cardel suggested that we switch from our standard plates to Cardel through-hardened plates, change from our current pads to Cardel high performance silicone pads and reduce the thickness of our plates.

The end results were better than we ever expected. Our reject rates were reduced by over 60%, we gained 20% increased throughput from the laminator and the plates we purchased do not get dented by the RFID chips anymore and are highly resistant to scratching.

We only wish that we had reached out to Cardel for help earlier, the difference in our general production quality and the increase in our throughput has been far beyond our expectations.”
